The Prophet (Sallallahu `alayhi was-sallam) said: “Whoever reads one letter of the Book of Allaah will have one hasanah (reward) for doing so, and every hasanah will be multiplied by 10. elevated or abased

`Umar bin Al-Khattaab (May Allaah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said, "Verily, Allaah elevates some people with this Qur'aan and abases others.'' [Muslim]

envy is justified

Ibn `Umar (May Allaah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: "Envy is justified in regard to two types of persons only: a man whom Allaah has given knowledge of the Qur'aan, and so he recites it during the night and during the day; and a man whom Allaah has given wealth and so he spends from it during the night and during the day.''  [Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]
