REGISTRATION

Q: How do I register for AlBaseerah International Institute website?

A: Please follow these steps to set up an account:

  1. Fill out the New Account form with your details in the required fields.
  2. Inshaa'Allaah an email will be immediately sent to your email address with a link to confirm your account registration. If you do not see the email in your inbox, be sure to check junk or spam folder as it may have been redirected there.
  3. Read your email, and click on the web link it contains.
  4. Your account will be confirmed and you will be logged in
  5. Please note that even though you have registered on the site you will still need to enroll in the courses that you would like to participate in. (See: I have registered on the site. How do I join the courses and when?)



Q: I have registered on the site. How do I join the courses and when?

A: After registration, a link would be provided in a e-mail which would lead you to choose your courses. Click on the title of the course you wish to take, check the dates the course would be in session next, and if the dates are good for you, click on the PayPal link to pay through PayPal (you don't need a PayPal account).


Q: I tried to register but I am unable to, or I have not received any e-mail.

A: Please contact our Technical Admin for technical issues.


Q: Are the classes only for those in the US?

A: No. Anyone can join.

Q: How can I convert class timings to my local city?

A: You can use these sites to convert EST times to your time zone:



Q: Can I join any course at any time? Is it possible to join if the class I am interested in has already started?

A: It depends on how many classes you have already missed, please email Course Admin for more details.


Q: I have registered for some classes but I have not received any e-mail invitation to join the classes.

A: Registered students are able to access the class links in the weekly outline located on the course page. Please refer to the Course Orientation Video for details.




COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS

Q: What are the computer requirements for the online courses?

A: Students must have access to the Internet (preferably fast Internet), and be able to run WizIQ virtual classroom software whether from a computer, tablet or other device. The following links contain information about WizIQ Apps:

MS office or similar program will also be useful though not required. Students who do not have MS PowerPoint may download the free viewer from this link.




COURSES

Q: Are there any prerequisites for the courses?

A: The prerequisites for each course is detailed on the respective course page.


Q: Are the classes conducted in English?

A: Yes, class instructions are given in English.

Q: Do you charge a fee for the courses?

A: Please refer to specific course pages to see if a fee is associated with that course.

Q: What if I want enroll in a class but cannot afford the fee?

A: Please refer to the page: Scholarship Program for details.


Q: Are all the classes live?

A: Yes, the classes are live.


Q: Will there be help if I don't understand something?

A: Yes, the course page will have a "help forum" where you may post your concerns.



Q: How much time per week does each course require?

A: Outside of the class time, students are recommended to spend at least 3-5 hours each week for review and revision.


Q: How do students take exams?

A: Written exams are conducted online via the website.


Q: How long does each course last, i.e. when will the course finish?

A: Course durations are detailed on the course registration pages.


Q: Will the timings of lectures change when daylight savings time begins or ends?

A: The class timings are EST, local to the USA. Please note that for students outside of USA, there will be a time change due to daylight savings which occurs usually in March and October. Students will be notified when the changes occur.


Q: Can you explain how the classes would work?

A: The class lectures are held in our WizIQ virtual classroom. Students would be required to register for a free account at WizIQ.com in order to attend live classes. Students enrolled in a course would have access to the WizIQ class links on their course page. The link is used to access the WizIQ classroom at the time of the class.


Q: Can we record audio during lectures?

A: No, all lectures are copyrighted. Links to the recorded classes will be made available to students for review.


Q: Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

A: Yes, students who pass the course will receive a certificate.
