| Description: Shaykh Muhamad As-Subayyal was giving an explanation of this hadith, which was narrated by Abdullah bin Abbas radi allahu anhu in Sunan At-Tirmidhi, “Young man, I shall teach you some words: Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask of Allah; if you seek help, seek help of Allah. Know that if the Nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, it would benefit you only with something that Allah had already prescribed for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with anything, they would harm you only with something Allah had already prescribed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried." Shaykh also advised to seek knowledge. He said that goal of seeking knowledge is to act upon it because on the Day of Judgement we will be asked about it. He further stated we have heard of many scholars, now upon us is to act on what we heard. He emphasized learning the noble characteristics of our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam. | |
