Shaykh, al-mufti Abdul Azeez Aal Shaykh, started with welcoming all brothers at presence and QSSNY and the administrators of QSSNY. He welcomed to the secure land that is Saudi Arabia, which is ruled by shari'ah of Islam. Then Shaykh went on to explain mercy of Islam, and that it is inclusive, contains brotherhood, justice and good deeds. Shaykh said that the Islam that we call to and attribute ourselves to by sticking to it one will gain all types of might and nobility in this Duniyah and Akhira. One will achieve the victory to enter Jannah. 

Shaykh, may Allah preserve him said, this deen of Islam:

It is a deen of Rahma, it is a deen of Mercy, it is a deen of middle course and it is a mercy in every meaning of mercy as it came in the Qur’an.

Allah sent the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam as mercy and all the commands of Allah and His prohibition are mercy.

Allah sent the Prophet as mercy as He said in the Qur’an, "We have not sent you except as a mercy to mankind" to all of the creation, let they be those who follow him or not.

For those who follow, he is a mercy to them because Allah saved them from fire and made them from his Ummah. 

And for those who do not follow him, he is still a mercy for them because they have to live under the shade of justice of Islam and this is how he sallallahu alayhe wa sallam is a mercy to them. As Allah said, “Say, by the virtue of Allah and His mercy, let them be happy with this”.

Allah’s Mercy is Qur’an and also Mercy is from the Attributes of Allah as Allah said, “Your Lord is oft-forgiving, most Merciful.”

And the virtue of Allah is that Allah guides you in acting according to Qur’an.

Allah called us to guidance and sent a book, Qur’an. As Allah said, “The book We have sent down to remove the people from all types of darkness to light by the Permission of Allah”. 

From the Mercy of Allah, He sent Qur’an as a medicine for the hearts and bodies. Everything in the Qur’an is Mercy. He sent the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam and made him a mercy for mankind and made him upon great character as Allah said, “Indeed you are upon a great character”.

Allah sent him as a mercy for his Ummah and all of mankind, as Allah said, “By the Mercy of Allah you have been lenient with them, have you been harsh hearted, they would have left you”.

This deen of Islam has saved mankind from the worship of idols, trees and rocks and anything else beside Allah, and freed their intellect from ignorance and misguidance and brought them to Tawheed and knowing Allah by his Beautiful Names and Attributes. 

Islam has come and it has been established as the religion of uprightness and gracious and it is built upon sound and secure aqeedah and high morals and noble characters.

And from the Mercy of Allah, everything Allah made haram, it is a mercy from Allah. Allah made haram the fornication, adultery, killing a soul without due right, doing shirk with Allah, drinking intoxicant and eating pork. 

Allah made obligatory upon us truthfulness, and keeping of promise, and being trustworthy and also made obligatory upon us to deal with people in a way that is better. 

Brothers and Sisters of Islam, you are living in the land of the disbelievers, so I advice you to have Taqwa of Allah as it relates to knowledge and action.

And that you make yourself busy by learning the book of Allah and reciting the book of Allah, teaching the book of Allah to others and calling the people to the book of Allah and I advice you to in loving the Sunnah and reading the books of Sunnah and being together and bringing your hearts together and looking for all means that brings the hearts together, and that you love one another based on the love of Allah and His Messenger and that you come together to depend this deen of Islam.

I advice you to display beautiful character and I warn you against becoming weak and humiliated in the face of the disbelievers. As Allah said, “Don’t become weak and do not become sad, indeed you will be the one who are victorious and you will be the one who are high if you are truly believers”.

It is upon you to stick to sound manhaj and methodology that is upright and also upon you to be upon beautiful character as Allah said, “Say to the people that which is beautiful”.

The Shaykh, may Allah preserve him, went on to explain this verse saying that it is upon us in teaching the people and speaking to them that we clarify to them the beautify of this deen, and we do all of that upon baseerah, clear knowledge. We use all means to affect the people and show people the beauty of this Deen.

Shaykh then went to advice the khutabah, those who give Friday sermons and stand on member saying that it is upon you to follow the Prophet as it was him who used to stand on member and warn people of that which will harm and teach them the deen and what will benefit them. 

Shaykh also advised those praying in front of the people saying that it is upon you to pray as the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam prayed as he said and teach people according to your ability and the limit of your knowledge.

Shaykh then advised that it is upon you to have strong bond between each others and to advice each others and that every deficiency that you see in your brother, you realize that it is actually a deficiency in you because the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said to help your brother whether he is oppressed or the oppressor, and the companion radi allahu anhum asked, O Messenger of Allah, we understand how to help the oppressed but how do we help the oppressor, so the Prophet said to stop him. So it is upon you to advice each others.

And I advice you to fear Allah, fear Allah regarding yourself, and do not listen to false advertisement and do not listen to those who display Islam in a negative light and do not let those things affect you and do not let those things make you weak, for if you stick to this Deen, and if you seek assistance of Allah, then you will be able to fight off that falsehood with truth.

And Shaykh went on and said, you came to this country and you have seen the great masajid, the masajid of Islam, and you have seen the care and consideration taken by this country to take of these masajid whether they be in regard to cleanliness or choosing good Imam or other things and you have seen every need has been taken care of and you see in this country all types of good, you see serenity of people, you see people are calm and secure and they are one group, they are the group of Islam and we don’t have different groups fighting amongst each others as Allah said, "Indeed this Ummah of your is one Ummah, So worship Me".

The millions that come for Hajj and Umrah, all of them see the way these haram are, it is a mercy for these people and serenity so it is upon you to relate to the people what you saw. 

Brothers and sisters, you have come here to learn your deen and I make dua to Allah that you go back to your country with safely and securely having benefited, this deen brings us together and brings the people of this deen together along with dawlah, this country, this kingdom of Saudi Arabia has excelled over all other countries in the fact that it has held fast to this Deen.
